Maybe you’ve seen this 3 minute video<\/a>: A mostly naked man begins to dance freely in an open field during a Woodstock-style concert. He looks partly drunk and mostly\u00a0silly…until someone else joins him.<\/p>\n

Within a minute, there’s an unchoreographed flash mob caused by passionate and totally committed followers. \u00a0So who is more important – the leader or the followers?\u00a0I encourage you to watch<\/a> – it’s hilarious and powerful about what’s possible in your leadership. The narration of the video is inspiring!<\/p>\n

What is a movement?<\/strong><\/p>\n

The movement gets started when people dance together.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

With people all over the world reading my blog and spreading goodness by sharing the Seven Fs<\/a> with friends and co-workers, I’ve started to see what we are creating as more of a “movement” than a small business. It’s exciting to see the ideas of\u00a0rewarding excellence, living generously, promoting fairness\u00a0<\/em>and\u00a0spreading positivity\u00a0<\/em>come alive in leadership.<\/p>\n

A movement is when 10% of any given population\/audience adopts an idea or behavior (dancing?) that influences the masses to do the same.<\/p>\n

When good leaders work together with good intentions, great things are possible.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

We are influencing leaders with coaching, training, books and tools to radiate goodness. Our target audience today is leaders in\u00a0the USA. With 1 in 5 adults considering themselves “leaders”, that’s 50 million leaders in America. The question today is:\u00a0How fast can we encourage\u00a05 million leaders to radiate goodness?<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Goodness Pledge<\/strong><\/p>\n

That’s why we introduced the idea of The Goodness Pledge<\/a> last week. Through four speaking engagements and this blog, we encouraged leaders like you to sign The Goodness Pledge. It’s simple, direct, and it’s working!<\/p>\n

How can we reach 5M leaders in America to sign the Goodness Pledge?<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Here’s what we are asking you to pledge:<\/p>\n

Carpe Diem.<\/strong> The world needs me to be a good leader who radiates goodness today. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The full pledge goes deeper, asking you to Blend the Seven Fs and seek out the goodness in others so we can all thrive.<\/p>\n

So…will you dance with me?<\/strong><\/p>\n

When I first started writing and speaking about Goodness\u00a0and The Seven Fs, I received an anonymous comment on my blog that said this:\u00a0“What are you an F-ing Do-Gooder?” \u00a0<\/em><\/strong>Well…I guess I am. Will you dance with me?<\/p>\n

Good leaders invest themselves in their ideas so much that sometimes they stand alone and look silly. And it’s worth all the ridicule when\u00a0followers\u00a0join en\u00a0masse and spread the goodness.<\/p>\n
